CASE STUDIES IN SUPPORT OF OUR PROFIT IMPROVEMENT THEORIES

In support of our Profit Improvement concepts we have and/or are in the process of developing “What Happened To” case studies including but not limited to the following which may be downloaded free of charge, to qualified business representatives.  Contact Us for additional information.
  1. “What Happened To” Long Term Capital Management?

  2. “What Happened To” – The Penn Central Railroad?
During 1968 the New York Central RR and the Pennsylvania RR merged. This merger created the largest railroad in America…known as Penn Central, after merger.

If its' owned fleet of cars and locomotives were coupled end to end, this fleet would stretch from NYC to Laramie, Wyoming. Its' tracks would stretch all the way around the world.

On June 21, 1970 the mighty Penn Central RR filed for bankruptcy under Section 77 of the Federal Bankruptcy code.

  3. “What Happened To” – ENRON?
The smartest guys worked for ENRON and if you didn’t know it they would tell you just how smart they were.

It was the New American Business Model – super fast and a winner with a secret success formula unknown to anyone. And this secret was really unknown to anyone and everyone.

Kind of ironic but the leaders of ENRON used the “Dumbest Man” legal defense when push came to shove.

  4. “What Happened To” – WorldCom?
From Mississippi to the World that was Worldcom. It was started by a former teacher/coach in Mississippi. Worldcom grew by stock based acquisition and it truly became worldly and it did it fast. And then one day something didn’t ring right and the connection broke and shortly thereafter, so did Worldcom.
